The Eiffel Tower Sparkling!

Last night I went out with my friend Veronica to see the Eiffel Tower sparkle because it is Veronica's very last night in Paris.  Apparently it is a thing that at eleven o'clock the Eiffel Tower sparkles for five minutes.  So we headed over to the best observation point at this big building on a hill across the river from the tower.  We miscalculated slightly, however, because last night also happened to be the night of the Euro Cup 2012 finals, and the green on the hill where we were going hosts a huge screen to watch games like that.  We arrived just after Spain won over Italy, and people were going crazy.  I took a video.  It is dark, but you get an idea of the noise:

The good thing was, no one was paying attention to the tower, so we got a really good view!  Here it is, sparkling:

Then we went home, and no one was crushed by the mob.  The end.
